The creation of this page was inspired by a recent copyright infringement that occurred (did it really??) when the Guns N' Roses song "Welcome To The Jungle" was uploaded on the YouTube channel of NPDT Process© and resulted with a punishment of a copyright strike..... (read prologue right below)
I already stated a long time ago under FAQ nr. 2 that I chose YouTube as my platform because it has managed to provide a sophisticated copyright checking algorithm ("running checks..."), so that artists (copyright owners) would be absolutely protected, meaning that the content would be attributed to them and THEY would gain the financial profit from the views. So in short what I am trying to say is that I CARE about artists' creations and I WANT them protected. And THEY ARE!
But just because this YouTube system works does not mean that the copyright owners are obliged to have their content published at YouTube, by other channels like my own or at all. If that's the case I FULLY respect that. In such cases the copyright owners should have already stated that to YouTube and whenever such content is uploaded it instantly gets blocked, and that's perfectly fine (examples that come to mind: John Lennon, Jimmie Hendrix).
What is NOT fine is when the content gets uploaded, checks claim the copyrighted material properly ( = full protection for the copyright owners) and then hours, days, years later some jerk from a publishing company files a complaint to YouTube, the video gets blocked and you are PUNISHED WITH A COPYRIGHT STRIKE (--> 3 of those strikes will get your channel terminated!!!). And at the same time the same exact content may still be online by hundreds of other channels who also don't own the copyright!!!!!
Do you see the problems here? I see 2, a major and a minor one:
The minor is that YouTube does not protect youtubers one bit and at the same time indirectly "admits" they have no clue about copyright, and of the fact that they already have it protected with the current checking system. What idiots, why should there be a punishment if the video is already claimed! And if the content creator later decides to block his content, how can a new rule punish you in the past! So stupidity at its glory on YouTube's behalf.
The major problem is that, by this YouTube action of stupidity, copyright owners are given the "power" to silence whomever they choose to, ABUSING their right on copyright. Why is it abuse? Because your content was already copyright-claimed you moron, ALREADY protected! There are tons of wrong-doing in this world and I would be a hypocrite to say that I care about even half of them, but restraining FREEDOM is something that will always bother me, ALWAYS!
Anyways, let's try to have some "fun" in this new section where I will be recording all such instances (that mean to hurt NPDT Process©) that SHOULD normally make the ones that provoked them feel ashamed, for all eternity :P
23/7/2021:
Audio: Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle (High-Quality Audio) [= processed using NPDT Process©]
Takedown issued by: Universal Music Group (YouTube), Recording Industry Associaton of America, Inc (Vimeo)
Penalty*: Should the band or artists participating in it request any NPDT Processings, the price will be DOUBLE the corresponding one
-- the deleted video will be kept at the "HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO" folder of the channel for date reference
[Previous copyright strikes (before the creation of the Wall Of Shame):
Bryan Adams - Heaven,
Tool - Forty Six & 2]
*reason for penalty: copyright strikes endanger the longevity of the YouTube channel of NPDT Process©
